Those interested in Victoriana will particularly enjoy this romantic Inn built in 1869. Located across the street from the Salt Pond Visitors Center the official entrance to the National Seashore Park in Eastham. Enjoy the large yard with gardens and areas to relax. Sit, read and enjoy the old fashion verandah. Enjoy on a chilly evening curl up with a book by the fireplace in the lounge. The Inn has one Suite and 9 distinctive rooms in the main house all decorated with comfortable period furniture. These rooms all have private bathrooms, TV and are air conditioned ( some have claw foot tubs and fireplaces ). The Carriage House has three large suites (#12 Workshop, max 4 p., #13 Tack Room max. 4 p.and #14 the Sail Loft, max. 6 p.) with queen beds, twin beds, and sleep sofa, private bathroom,TV, AC and access to a "butler kitchen". These suites are perfect for families. Extended continental buffet is served daily. The famous Cape Cod Rail Trail bike path is to the rear of the Inn. Terrific location for beaching, biking, whale watching, antiquing and enjoying all the fine amenities that the Lower Cape has to offer. Distance to the bike trail less than 1/4 of a mile, distance to a bay beach 1 mile and distance to Coast Guard Beach National Seashore 1 mile. Pets are welcomed in the Carriage House in suites #12, #13 and #14 only. This Inn is under new ownership (as Jan 2011) and all rooms are in the process of renovation.
